A Reflection on Shopify Unite 2018.

Last week, Shopify held its annual Unite partner conference; and for the first time, holding the event in its home country of Canada. Over two and a half jam packed days, we sat in sessions detailing the new features and improvements coming to the platform, mingled with Shopify’s senior management team, as well as agency, development and technology partners. We met some old friends and made some new ones. We received so much new information it will take weeks to absorb and digest it all.

I’ve been a proponent of TaskCentre Workflow for a while now. It’s simple to set up and use and can extend the reach of your CRM and ERP beyond traditional users. And now I’ve got it working very nicely on my Mobile Phone, actually a Blackberry Torch (I know, I wrote this a while ago, I have an iPhone now), though any smart phone will do. And the TaskCentre system I am using is in the Cloud. What a perfect combination.

How to improve TaskCentre query performance in Sage 100/MAS 90

Overview

By default, TaskCentre connects to Sage ERP 100 (formerly MAS 90/200) via its ProvideX ODBC Driver. This imposes limitations on both performance and in the SQL syntax that is generated when building a TaskCentre Query. You can get around these limitations by passing through an Microsoft Access database (MDB).
