Orbis Software is pleased to announce the formal release of the new TaskCentre Run MS Reporting Services Report Tool.

The TaskCentre Run MS Reporting Services Report Tool will:
:: Automate the running of reports based on the full range of TaskCentre events.
:: Run the reports on a Microsoft SQL Server reporting server.
:: Run reports that are usually delivered in local mode by another application.
:: Produce outputs including PDF, CSV, TIFF, DOC, XML, Excel & HTML
Examples of common commercial uses for the new tool include:
:: Report delivery based on rules and changes to data in a database.
:: Report delivery based on user workflow actions.
:: Enable integration by delivering in CSV or XML format to websites, FTP or local servers.
:: Report delivery to websites for user consumption on PC's, tablets and mobile phones.
:: PDF delivery outside your organisation by e-mail to customers, suppliers and other parties.
This new Tool is available via a separate installer. Please contact your TaskCentre Reseller for information on how to get it. Download a whitepaper here.
Note that .Net 3.5 SP1 is required to install this Tool.
In addition, Orbis Software has announced the release of Hotfix I.
This hotfix can be applied to TaskCentre 4.5 Service Release 4 or Service Release 4 hotfix A through to H. It is a cumulative release containing all of the issues resolved in previous hotfixes. It provides the minimum platform required to run the new TaskCentre Run Microsoft Reporting Services Report Tool, and contains resolution to some minor issues.

Orbis Software has announced two new releases: TaskCentre Hotfix H and the Web Service Connector Service Release 1.

This Web Service Connector release extends the range of web services with which this drag and drop tool can integrate. Key focuses of this release are integration with:
* Microsoft Exchange
* Sage SData
* MS Dynamics CRM 2011 (SOAP Services)
* SalesForce.com
There are a number of new knowledgebase articles associated with this release including:
* Exposing XML attributes or restructuring XML data using web service connector multi-message operations
* Solution to ReadpickLists schema problem with the SalesLogix System web service 7.5.4
* How to fix common read/write operation problems when using SDATA schemas
* How to use Fiddler to view HTTP traffic through the TaskCentre Web Servie Connector
* Diagnose and work around schema problems of web service operations
* Defining an XML Schema from data

The TaskCentre Hotfix H release is a prerequisite for this release of the Web Service Connector.
Significantly, Hotfix H includes an extension to the TaskCentre API to enable task import programmatically, plus corrections to a number of issues (and reverses changes made to the XML to Recordset tool made in Hotfix G that was withdrawn).
These software releases with their associated release notes can be downloaded from the Partner Area of the Orbis Software website.
