What are TaskCentre Integration Solutions?

Good question!

Back in October of 2011 Orbis Software, authors of TaskCentre released a new Web Service Connector Tool. The aim of the tool was to enable TaskCentre users to be able to connect to virtually any web service. And once connected to the web service, customers would then be able to integrate these applications with their internal systems, adding automation, alerting, workflow and automated reporting.

Over the last few months the development team have been hard at work testing the different types of web services that will work with TaskCentre and though the list of testing is still long many different solutions have already been tested.

What are some examples of TaskCentre Integrations?

Sage's SData and ECommerce applications such as Magento, XCart, Volusion and Shopify can integrate with TaskCentre using web services. Pardot, and other marketing automation applications can also be integrated, as well as logistics services such as FedEx and DHL. These are just some of the applications that have been tested.

There is another side to the coin, its all very well being able to use the web services to connect to these web applications, but what internal systems are you going to integrate them with? Provided you have an OLEDB or ODBC connection TaskCentre will be able to read data from your internal systems and most of the time if your application has a SQL back end then usually you can write back to the database.

What are the Typical ERP or CRM Systems that TaskCentre works with?

Typically TaskCentre works with all of the Sage ERP and CRM applications, SAP Business One, Dynamics AX, GP, NAV, SL and of course, CRM. But that does not mean that we can't work with other systems.  If we have never worked with a software application before, we will tell you so and will suggest that we try it for you. As you can imagine there are so many different applications that it is impossible to have tried them all!

We already have integration solutions so what exactly do you add?

Another good question. Let's take an e commerce application such as Magento. Orders are placed by customers and then you are having to take that information and re-key it into your ERP system. With one or two orders a day that is not such a big 'Task'. But what if you have 150 orders a day and three employees are working all day re-keying information? This is not a good use of their time.

Every business is different and every application is different and the way that every business handles these types of integrations will be slightly different. But the principles are the same.

The TaskCentre suite furnishes you with a basket of tools. The tools are designed to be used as often as is necessary during a process provided that your business logic is sound. So the end result is that these Tasks or "business processes" are built according to your business rules.

Even though these processes are not available out of the box, we have the experience to guide our business partners and their customers through the design and building phases of their automation projects and where required we also train them to become self sufficient.

Would your organization benefit from an integration solution? Would you like to evaluate the software and let us show you some tips and tricks?

We want our customers to be happy and we know that if they have a good understanding of how to make TaskCentre work they will be!

The question is 'What do you want to Automate
